How to make a file downloadable from your website

It's a downloadable file the save option will always appear. If you don't want people to save anything you can't have a downloadable link. Because the link is connected to the file. It's not like a link to a page or a post. If you want to share something your visitors but not have it available for download - simply put whatever it is you want to share on a page just like you do with any other content and have a link to that page.
